Pefkos is a quieter resort just south of Lindos, 67 km and about 75 minutes from the airport. Public transport here is limited enough that most visitors who want to see the island rent a car.

Why most visitors rent here
Buses run, but infrequently and mainly northwards. Lardos, Kiotari, Gennadi, Plimmiri and Prasonisi are all far more accessible with a car than without one.
Parking and roads
Parking in Pefkos is easy compared with Lindos, with space near the main beaches and along the village roads. The access roads down to the coves are steep and narrow in places, which is where an automatic earns its cost.

- Lardos and Glystra beach — 5 to 10 minutes.
